Want Not

Next time you are waiting for anything,
notice what you are wanting!
This will be a source of Your tension or impatience.

All desire has fear built in - fear of not getting or losing,
even Before your desire is fulfilled.

The secret is to want nothing, and then magic happens,
for love And behold, all that you need and more
arrives in your life, at the right time, in the right way.

Remind Yourself

If you know a little of yourself, you will have realized that you are
more than meets your eyes in the mirror in the morning.

What you see is not what you are. You see the form not the
content, the body not the soul, the matter not the mind.
In quiet and profound moments, we innately know that is true.

But we forget.
The world tells us and wants us to believe that
we are what we see - and we take the easy way out.
We believe.
That's why the awakening of spirit and the flowering of our spirituality
(nothing to do with religion)
means we have to keep reminding ourselves, a hundred times a day,
I am a soul - not a body, I am an eternal spirit - not a perishable piece of meat.

I am quality, not quantity. I am. Otherwise, freedom is not possible.
And if we are not free, in the deepest space inside our own being,
we cannot be truly happy.

SEARCHING FOR THE VESSEL

The Master was searching for a vessel to use;
On the shelf there were many - which one would He choose?
Take me, cried the gold one, I'm shiny and bright,
I'm of great value and I do things just right.
My beauty and lustre will outshine the rest
And for someone like You, Master, gold would be the best!

The Master passed on with no word at all;
He looked at a silver urn, narrow and tall;
I'll serve You, dear Master, I'll pour out Your wine
And I'll be at Your table whenever You dine,
My lines are so graceful, my carvings so true,
And my silver will always compliment You.

Unheeding the Master passed on to the brass,
It was widemouthed and shallow, and polished like glass.
Here! Here! Cried the vessel, I know I will do,
Place me on Your table for all men to view.

Look at me, called the goblet of crystal so clear,
My transparency shows my contents so dear,
Though fragile am I, I will serve You with pride,
And I'm sure I'll be happy in Your house to abide.
The Master came next to a vessel of wood,
Polished and carved, it solidly stood.
You may use me, dear Master, the wooden bowl said,
But I'd rather You used me for fruit, not for bread!

Then the Master looked down and saw a vessel of clay.
Empty and broken it helplessly lay.
No hope had the vessel that the Master might choose,
To cleanse and make whole, to fill and to use.

Ah! This is the vessel I've been hoping to find,
I will mend and use it and make it all Mine.
I need not the vessel with pride of its self;
Nor the one who is narrow to sit on the shelf;
Nor the one who is big mouthed and shallow and loud;
Nor one who displays his contents so proud;
Not the one who thinks he can do all things just right;
But this plain earthy vessel filled with My power and might.

Then gently He lifted the vessel of clay.
Mended and cleansed it and filled it that day.
Spoke to it kindly. There's work you must do,
Just pour out to others as I pour into you.

Failure is simply the oppotunity to begin

Everyone needs to be loved...
Especially when they do not deserve it.

In life you will meet many people. All are significant.
They deserve your attention and care,
even if all you do is smile and say "hello".

We cannot hold a torch to light another person’s path
without brightening our own.

The human race has one effective weapon--and that is laughter.

Be Nice and Smile

Be nice and smile to everyone you meet.
You don't know what they are going through,
And they might just need that smile.

At least for a moment, it would make a lot of difference to them.
Life gives us many such moments to make others feel better.
For tomorrow when you feel low,
Someone might smile and you may feel better.

BORN TO LIVE

I would like to be a flower which blooms to full glory
and dies,Than being a tree that never blossoms.

I would like to be a spark that burns with a brilliant blaze
for a moment, than being a Light which cannot show
path to anyone.

I would like to be a superb meteor which carries
a magnificent glow, than being a Sleepy and
permanent planet.
I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them.

I shall used my time.

I am born to Live. Not to Exist.

EMPTY SPACE

On a regular basis, do nothing. Drop your expectations,
Forget your worries and anxieties, and don't even think
About feeling guilty about it.

Everyone alive must have some sleep each day. Just as your
Body needs the restful period that sleep provides, your mind
And spirit benefit from regular restful times as well.

When you read a good book, it is the spaces between the
Words that enable you to understand each one of those words.
In a musical composition, the silence between the notes is
Just as important as the sound of the instruments.

In whatever you are working to accomplish, be sure to put in
Some well-placed empty space. Pauses can be just as
Significant as the most eloquent words, and periods of
Unproductive rest can be just as useful as periods of
Strenuous, focused activity.

No, of course you wouldn't want to be lazy and inactive all
The time, yet you will benefit from balancing your diligent
Efforts with peaceful relaxation. The busy times make the
Restful times more enjoyable, and the restful times make the
Busy times more productive.

Just because you're not intensely engaged in focused
Accomplishment doesn't mean that you've stopped moving
Forward. Devote some time to relaxing and refreshing your
Spirit, and your efforts will become more effective than
Ever.

Take each day as it comes

People lose their health to make money;

Then lose their money to restore their health.

By thinking anxiously about the future,
They forget their present such that
They live neither for the present nor the future.

They live as if they will never die,
And they die as if they have never lived.

Take each day as it comes, and live each day
to the fullest.

KEEP MOVING

Life gives answers in three ways.
It says yes and gives whatever you want.

It says no and gives you something better.
It says wait and gives you the best.

If you’re committed to your dream,
you will win anyway's.

Don’t just dream, Live your dream.
Keep moving towards it.

OTHER OPTION

Here's a quick, easy and extremely effective way to remain
confident in practically any situation. Always keep in mind
that you have other options.

Sure, you want to do the best you can, and to get the most
value from whatever you're doing. Yet excessive worrying
about the results will destroy your effectiveness.

Of course it's important to expect the very best of the
other people you deal with, and your positive expectations
can have a profound effect. Even so, there will still be
times when other people disappoint you, and times when
factors beyond your control will hinder your efforts.

So remind yourself that if it doesn't work out, you have
other options. Free yourself from worry, and move
confidently forward.

If one path is blocked, there's another way to get there. If
the door is slammed shut, there's most likely a nearby
window you can climb through.

You may not know exactly what they are, yet you do indeed
have other options. And though you probably won't even have
to use them, knowing you have them can make all the
difference.

BEST SIDE OF LIFE

Life is double-sided;

There’s a wrong side and a right side;

A sad side and a happy side.

There’s a good side and a bad side;

A black side and a bright side.

So if things seem dark to you, just change
your thoughts about.

Life will look quite different if you turn it
best side out..

Benefits of Physical Activity

The benefits of exercise extend far beyond weight management. Research shows that regular physical activity can help reduce your risk for several diseases and health conditions and improve your overall quality of life. Regular physical activity can help protect you from the following health problems.

•Heart Disease and Stroke. Daily physical activity can help prevent heart disease and stroke by strengthening your heart muscle, lowering your blood pressure, raising your high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels (good cholesterol) and lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels (bad cholesterol), improving blood flow, and increasing your heart's working capacity. Optimizing each of these factors can provide additional benefits of decreasing the risk for Peripheral Vascular Disease.

•High Blood Pressure. Regular physical activity can reduce blood pressure in those with high blood pressure levels. Physical activity reduces body fat, which is associated with high blood pressure.

•Noninsulin-Dependent Diabetes. By reducing body fat, physical activity can help to prevent and control this type of diabetes.

•Obesity. Physical activity helps to reduce body fat by building or preserving muscle mass and improving the body's ability to use calories. When physical activity is combined with proper nutrition, it can help control weight and prevent obesity, a major risk factor for many diseases.

•Back Pain. By increasing muscle strength and endurance and improving flexibility and posture, regular exercise helps to prevent back pain.

•Osteoporosis. Regular weight-bearing exercise promotes bone formation and may prevent many forms of bone loss associated with aging.

•Self Esteem And Stress Management. Studies on the psychological effects of exercise have found that regular physical activity can improve your mood and the way you feel about yourself. Researchers have found that exercise is likely to reduce depression and anxiety and help you to better manage stress.

•Disability. Running and aerobic exercise have been shown to postpone the development of disability in older adults.
Keep these health benefits in mind when deciding whether or not to exercise.

LIFE

Life

"Be happy while you're living, for you're a long time dead." - Scottish
Proverb

Everyone says, "How the time flies." The days go by and they are years, and
the years finally become our whole life. Each daily portion can be wasted,
or it can be a pleasure, before it is gone forever. If a bedtime review of
the day concludes that we were too stressed, too busy, didn't accomplish
anything, didn't have any fun, then it has been another lost piece of
precious life.

Perhaps we are putting off our enjoyment until we have more time, or money,
or some other improved condition. The trouble with that is that it might
never happen, or it may be too long in coming. It's so important to accept
this time, this very minute, as something of tremendous value that will very
soon be gone forever. There are many ways to ensure that we make the best of
our time here on earth.

In our daily routine let's include time to enjoy others and thus ourselves.
Look and wonder at the trees, fields and mountains, smell the flowers, hear
the birds, and watch the clouds in the sky.

"This world, after all our science and sciences, is still a miracle;
wonderful, magical and more, to whosoever will think of it." - Thomas
Carlyle (1795-1881)

Face your problems bravely, confidently, and improve on your situation, no
matter what state it be in. Be good to feel good. Be active and improve your
mind. Laugh, relax, and sleep well.

Life is mostly froth and bubble;
Two things stand like stone:
Kindness in another's trouble,
Courage in our own. - Adam Gordon (1833-1870)
